Spent most of the last two days driving US Bike Route 1 from DC to Fredericksburg in order to identify turns and traffic volume. Although its not well signed, I was able to decifer turns using the VADOT bike map and mapquest. Its such a nice ride coming out of DC down to Mt. Vernon - decided to scrap original plan west of DC and do Bike Rt 1.
Was able to get in a warm-up ride with my family (mom, sister, brother in-law, and nephew) after getting back to Fredericksburg at the Spotsylvania National Battlefield Park - see photo of my nephew, Tucker as we set out for the 8 mile ride.

Wow, over 90 miles the first day and we were just hoping you would just safely MAKE itthrough the first day!!! You're amazing! Keep up the good work and be safe! We are so proud of you. Enjoy the ride!
